I was very pleased and excited when Nikky and the PanPastel Team invited me to Guest Design for their Challenge Blog. The current theme is Flora and Fauna so I decided to try my hand at a Tryptich Tag.
I took an A4 sheet of white card and blended Violet, Magenta, Yellow and Orange PanPastels to make the background. I then cut around a Size 8 Tag, three times!!!
It was tremendous fun using different tree and plant stamps and I used the strip of card which was left over from the A4 sheet to die cut the butterflies in order for everything to tone together. I even used PanPastels to colour the seam binding. I'm not sure it shows on the photograph but I added black Distress Glitter to make it all pop (it twinkles beautifully when the sun catches it). PanPastels work incredibly well with masks, as you'll see on the centre panel I used a Tim Holtz sunray stencil to add a subtle sunrise.
After adding birds and a squirrel all was complete - I do hope you like it and that it inspires you to have a go and enter the Challenge. Click here to have a look at the lovely work from the Design Team.
Thank you so much Nikky and the PanPastel Design Team for letting me join in the fun.
This is just gorgeous Yvonne.xxx
