Bottles - Craft Stamper

The Challenge over on the Craft Stamper Take It, Make It Challenge is "Bottles".

I love Graphic 45 stamps and this is the perfect opportunity to use the Typography set.

For this tag I started with a size 8 Manilla Tag which I dry embossed with an ink splat embossing folder.  After inking with brushes and rubbing green Treasure Gold onto the the splats I stamped and embossed bottles onto heat resistant acetate and then painted the back of the acetate with white acrylic paint.  I then rolled tubes of copy paper and glued the bottles around them to give shape.  I stamped a couple of the bottles onto shrink plastic too and these were also added to the tag.

I stamped the sign and the pen onto Kraft card and clear embossed over the pen and added Treasure gold to the nib.

The Create definition was also embossed onto acetate and added to the tag which had been edged in Treasure Gold to bring it all together.

Fussy and Fancy - Pearls and Lace

Happy Good Friday!
It's time for a new Challenge over at Fussy and Fancy and the theme is Pearls and Lace.

I was very pleased with my Wedding Invitation - it's really pretty in real life - unfortunately it was virtually impossible to photograph!

I used a Hot off the Press background stamp which I embossed with Wow glitter embossing powder ( Will I never learn that I can't photograph shiny finishes!). I then coloured with Milled Lavender Distress Ink. Mi added Tim Holtz trimmings down the side which had Liquid Pearls down the centre.  All finished off with a topper and a pearl swirl.

Goosebumps

I followed the journey of Zoe Russell's Goosebumps when she was in Canada visiting her daughter at Xmas.  My daughter also lives in Canada therefore Zoe's trip was of particular interest to me.
Zoe let us into her crafty journey too and what she told us about Goosebumps kept my interest burning!!
Once home Zoe showed her very impressive makes with the intriguing Goosebumps - I just had to get some.  It's been sitting in my craft cupboard for several months completely untouched.

This is my first project using Goosebumps and I'm really pleased with the effect.

Hope you like it too.

Indigoblu Challenge - Spring Blossoms

This is my entry for the April, 2014 Indigoblu challenge - Spring Blossoms.

Tulips herald Spring therefore this stamp seemed the obvious choice for this Challenge.  To start with I stamped the Tulip with Gellato's then over stamped it with Watering Can Archival ink. I then masked off the Tulip and randomly stamped Best Wishes for the background using blended Gelato's.  This was then distressed around the edges and layered it onto black card giving a wide frame.  This was then layered onto yellow Bazill Basics and edged this by hand with a black pen.  The whole thing was then layered onto a marble background made with shaving foam and spray inks.

I stamped Spring onto the same marble background and cut out a tag shape which was attached to the top of the card.  I tried a ribbon bow on the tag but it seemed too fussy therefore I opted for a blob of glue covered with black Distress Glitter (I love Distress Glitter!) to give the appearance of a brad fastening the tag to the card.

All was layered onto cream card to finish off.  Take a look at the Indigoblu Blog as there is some lovely DT inspiration.

Gelli Print and Clarity Stamp Stencil and Stamps

This is the best Gelli print I have done up to now as it reminds me of an old Tapestry.

I had an afternoon of Gelli printing today and ended up with a few pleasing prints.

Once I arrived at this print I was a little bemused as to what to do with it next but I loved it!  I messaged over a picture of my print to Sam Crowe aka "The Gelli Queen" who gave me loads of ideas as to what to do next.  Thank you so much Sam.

The picture below shows the print before stamping.

So after adding the Meadowdance stamp and the Pine Forest stamp in Fern Green Archival this was my little masterpiece.
