Gelli Plate Tag

This is new for me, I wasn't quite sure that the Gelli Plate was for me BUT I LOVE IT!!!

I was asked to choose my favourite mask from Splodgeaway - obviously this was an almost impossible task as I have lots and lots of favourites.

I settled on the flower creator which I find extremely versatile.  Perfect to use for cutting out and layering flowers and of course all the masks are amazing to use on the Gelli plate.

I love the colours on this Tag too - I used red, yellow and white for this project and, yes I know red and yellow make orange, but I was absolutely delighted with the tones of colour I arrived at.

Pan pastels and Indigoblu

This is a card I made for a very special friends birthday.

I used Panpastels for the background and the lovely stamps are from Indigoblu.

I then matted and layered the sentiment with foam pads, to give a bit of height, onto the top left hand corner.

Really hope she likes it.

Another butterfly Twinchie

Couldn't miss an opportunity to make a glitter butterfly Twinchie.

Butterfly Twinchie

I've incorporated two new items (new for me!) in this little Twinchie.

Firstly the background was taken from my very first Gelli Print background.

Secondly, I made the butterfly embellishments myself!  I took a piece of acetate, taped over it a Splodge Away butterfly mask, filled it in with glitter paste, removed the mask, then left it overnight to set (the difficult bit) and then cut around the butterflies and fixed them to my Twinchie.

Finished off with a white pen.

Paper Clay flower

I'm a big fan of using the Sam Poole embossing folder to make three dimensional flowers as demonstrated by Julia Watts.

I'm also a big fan of Martha Stewart Paper Clay as demonstrated by Mel Heaton.

Would the two work together I thought???

Hels Sheridan also has the instructions for constructing this flower on her blog - wonder if paper clay would work in my Melt Pot???

Next I need to stamp on the clay before I emboss it.  I now need to experiment with colours and colouring mediums.

Next time I need to stamp on the dry clay before I emboss it.  I'm off now to spray, ink, glitter etc my flower to see which works best.

Indigoblu Tag

I made this tag with Indigoblu Nature 1 stamps.

I love green and yellow together and for this tag used Distress Inks Mowed Lawn and Squeezed Lemonade.  I also used these inks to colour the organza ribbon.

I used Stazon for the stamping onto the tag and also onto acetate for the butterfly.  I coloured the back of the acetate with green and yellow Promarkers.

The tag and the words were edged with Black Soot DI.

Slight touching up with a white pen finished the project.

Claritystamp Challenge Blog - Mr & Mrs

I started this Anniversary card with a square of pale blue Bazzill basics card and then stamped the large flourish stamp with black Adirondack in the centre.   

I felt there were too many gaps so stamped the small flourish stamp in between with the same ink.  Finished them off with a few dots and lines of a white gel pen.

I love using Panpastels so stamped the musical notes with Versamark and used blue Panpastel over the top.  The same Panpastel was used to shade the edges of the card after using the corner rounder.

I then cut 4 hearts with my Cricut machine, 2 slighter larger in black card, to layer the white hearts on to.  One of the white hearts was stamped with the Clarity Birdsong stamps again with black Adirondack ink.  Clouds were then added to the hearts with the same Panpastel used on the backing card.  The Birdhouse and sun were also coloured using Panpastels.

I recently bought the Happy Words set of Clarity stamps which I find so useful - these we're used to stamp the sentiment in the other heart.
