This card was inspired by a card made by Maria Simms. It's made using the flower Splodge mask and stamped with a Clarity stamp verse. I cut part of the flower with a craft knife and placed a piece of co-ordinating vellum beneath. Unfortunately it didn't get to Canada on time which is disappointing.
Thanks for joining me on my crafty journey. I'm now retired which gives me the chance to spend a lot more time indulging myself in my crafty habit!!! I'm part of four Design Teams and absolutely love the work I do with them. It's very exciting to get your work shown on TV and I never cease to get excited when a show is coming up. It's lovely to see what the team have produced. I appreciate all my followers on my blog and thank you all so much for following my journey.

Valentine card
This is the Valentine card I made for my husband this year. I used Kraft Card, Tim Holtz stamps and Wow Embossing powders - clear and black.
The message was stamped onto Kraft Card and cut out with a Spellbinders die. The heart shape was cut out using my Cricut machine. The man "bling" was made using Tando cogs purchased from Bee Crafty and coloured with Tim Holtz metallic Distress Stain.
By the way - he loved it!!!
I love entering the Wow embossing powder monthly challenge this will be my entry into their February challenge:

Wow embossing powders
I really enjoyed making this card to enter into the Wow Embossing Powder Challenge - Ice and Snow.
I used several of my favourite techniques including embossing on acetate, inking acetate backgrounds and my obsession of the moment faux porcelain.
I used blue alcohol ink with Snow Cap mixative to make the background, the trees were embossed onto the acetate using Wow Platinum powder, the wording was embossed using Wow Opaque bright white and the snowflakes were punched out and dipped into Ultra High.

Faux Porcelain flower wreath
For a little while now I have wanted to try the faux porcelain technique very well demonstrated by the lovely and talented Hels Sheridan. Around Xmas time I ordered some lovely flower and leaf stamps from Designs by Ryn which appeared to be ideal for this little adventure!
As it has been very snowy outside for the last few days it seemed the ideal time to get out the melt pot.
Hope you like the result x
The flowers and leaves were coloured with Panpastels therefore it seemed a good choice to enter into the Panpastel challenge.

I would like to share with you pictures of the projects completed using Panpastels, Maemeri medium etc.
We were made extremely welcome by Eileen and the other ladies attending the workshop. Thank you all.

What's a Twinchie?
A twinchie is a small piece of art which measures 2" x 2".
I decided to have a go - therefore my first entry (I'm allowed up to three each month) is displayed below. Just to show perspective one of the photos shows my entry next to a 20p piece.
Entries close on 4th February.
