Video of Jewellery

This is a video made by my clever son-in-law of pieces of jewellery I made and sent over to Toronto to my daughter for her birthday.

I'm so chuffed with it and hope you enjoy watching it too.

PanPastel card

Morning all - lovely sunny springlike morning here today, wow it makes you feel good.

My piece of inspiration for the Love2Create Challenge is a card I made using an apertuture.  I lined the aperture with black card which I feel brings out the scene behind.

Love the little Maya Angelou verse.

As I mentioned I photographed the card amongst my Mother's Day flowers - and yes - I do have vases but apparently jars are trendy!  Apparently drinks are served in them in some establishments!

Have a lovely day xxxxx

Squiggly bracelets!

I've had my feet up for the last few days but obviously I can't sit and do nothing!  I had a play with some copper wire and some copper seed beads.

Brilliant way to relax, hope you like them xxx

Stampbord again!!

I'm besotted with Stampbord, it's so quick and easy to use and the results are so effective.

The old Clarity collage stamps are amongst my favourites - oldies but goodies!

I've taken a few photos along the way but this card was so simple it really is very self explanatory, I'll post them below.

The mats and layers really finish off a piece if co-ordinated well.

Have a lovely week everyone xxx

Stampbord and Panpastel Necklace

I absolutely love Stampbord, it has such a smooth, and forgiving, surface.  I decided to use it for this weeks inspiration over on the Love2create challenge blog.

Firstly I cover the base in yellow and added Magenta and blue in opposite corners, as you can see this resulted in a lovely green shade in the bottom corner.  Then, using Versamark, I inked up the Clarity Paris collage stamp (still one of my favourites after all these years).  I then put the Stampbord on top of the stamp roughly where I thought would show an effective part of the image.  I couldn't have been more delighted when I saw that the word "destination" was perfectly placed at the bottom, a very happy accident!

I punched a whole and added a couple of of dangly trinkets and I had a lovely pendant, which of course could also be a key ring, bag charm etc.

Thank you for popping in today xxxx

Bare Copper Wire Jewellery

I've had a bit of a break from paper crafting this week and had a few days making jewellery.  The first one is made using wire weaving and the second one is Chain Maille and called captured beads.

I've had such a great time making them and was lucky enough to get both pieces shown on the Jewellery Maker TV Channel.

PanPastel - Floral

Wow this is so different for me!  I loved doing it and I'm so pleased with the result.  I'm going to use it as a cover for a cheap supermarket notebook.

Below are a few photos to show how I arrived at my final piece.

I started by using different stamps and different coloured inks.

I then took an open floral stamp which I stamped twice with Versamark and embossed.

Difficult to see but you may just make out the images.

I then covered the whole lot in different colours of PanPastels.

I then needed to erase the Pans from the embossed flowers.

I then outlined one of the flowers with black Wink of Stella, I thought it was a little harsh so added dots with a white pen before colouring in the flower.

The second flower I outlined in white pen before colouring in.

Thanks for joining me today I really hope you enjoyed my journey with this little piece of artwork.

Wire wrapped pendants

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed making these pendants over the Xmas holidays.

It's so easy to sit with this work on you're knee - whereas when I'm paper crafting I seem to have out half my craft room!!

I'm so enjoying learning something new.

Happy New Year everyone xxxx
