Grunge Paste Tag

Today I have a tag I made using Grunge Paste.

I started with a black tag and spread It quite thickly with Grunge Paste.

I then took a script stamp sprayed it with water and stamped it into the paste.  One dry I covered it with black gesso.

When the gesso was dry I rubbed it with Treasure Gold gilding wax.

The heart and sentiment were made using copper embossing powder.

A light text stamping on to the heart shape tied everything together.

Sweet Lilac Flowers - Love is in the Air

There is a new Challenge on the Sweet Lilac Flowers blog, Love is in the Air.

For my project this month I used stamps from the Sheena Douglass Little Bit Magical range, coloured with Spectrum Noir pencils.  I used a brick wall stencil to lightly colour the background.

Last, but definitely not least, I added Sweet Lilac flowers and also leaves from the range at the top of the tree.

It would be lovely to see your entries and you could also win a fabulous hamper of Sweet Lilac Flowers.  Good Luck.

PanPastel Pink and White

Time for a new Challenge over on the PanPastel Challenge Blog today.  There are some amazing pieces of art from the Design a team today, why not pop over to take a look by clicking HERE.

My piece today is a Birthday card made by stamping with Versamark and then dabbing with Permanent Red Tint and then blending over the card fading out towards one corner to make an ombré effect.  I then used the same stamp again with Versamark but this time I covered this with white embossing powder.

A sentiment and a few pearls finished off the project.  Why not enter a pink and white project into our Challenge you could win a fabulous prize of a stencil and PanPastel.

Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge

I'm loving the Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge this month, the technique is Stencilling.

Having a passion for stencils I decided to make another project to enter into this Challenge.

The background was made with Distress Ink loaded onto the card and then sprayed with water.

It's always useful to have Thank You cards ready and waiting, it's good to say Thank you.

I used the Tree Stencil from Sweet Poppy Stencils together with the Black Glossy Paste.

I then stamped Thank You ever so much in Black Archival and hilighted with a white pen.

When I applied it to the White card the White looked quite stark so I took a honeycomb stencil and brushed a touch of pale blue ink through this to take away the brightness.

Craft Stamper Take it Make it Challenge

I've had this little MDF pen/brush holder for ages.  When I saw the technique for the Take It Make It Challenge over at Craft Stamper Magazine was stencils and stamping I knew it was time to "get on with it"!

Below is how it started.

Then I painted it yellow,

For the stamping I used the Art set from Claritystamp and then I masked off the easel and stamped the face onto the canvas using an Art Journey stamp.

The stencils I used on the other three sides are from Sweet Poppy Stencils and their black glossy paste.

PanPastel Bokeh technique

Morning folks and congratulations to the winner and Top 3 of the last PanPastel Challenge.

For my inspiration this week I decided to have a go at the Bokeh technique which seems to be very popular at the moment using paints and inks.  I think it works perfectly with PanPastels too!

I took a stencil with three different size circles and randomly coloured through this with different PanPastels. I'm then sprayed with spray and sparkle.

The sentiment was stamped onto vellum and attached to the card with glue and small glass beads to cover the glue marks.  A little organza bow and its done!

Hope you like it xxxx

Claritystamp Challenge - Floral

It's another month over on the Claritystamp Challenge Blog.  Well done to the winners and Top 5 of the last Challenge.

Well my piece this month is not what it started out to be!

I thought the first one was a bit drab

Which one do you like best?

PanPastels - Love is in the Air

A new Challenge on the PanPastel Challenge Blog starts today, there are some fantastic projects from my Team mates which you can see by clicking HERE.

For this Valentine card I stamped the main heart with Versamark and then dabbed on Permanent Red PanPastel, after this I blended the red over the remainder of the card.

I then used the same stamp around the edges, again with Versamark, but this time I used white embossing powder.

I added a few words at the bottom which were stamped using a free stamp from Craft Stamper Magazine.

I think I may use this as my husbands Valentine card this year.
