Nature - Claritystamp Challenge

Congratulations to the winner and Top 5 of the Feminine Challenge - so many beautiful entries, it's very difficult to choose and fabulous that so many people take the time to create such wonderful pieces of art.
This months challenge is Nature - wow such a lot of wonderful Clarity Stamps and Stencils to choose from.

There is an amazing array of art work from the Design Team over on the blog HERE.

I loved making this project - it's quite different for me but incredibly enjoyable to make.

I took Brusho's, Centura Pearl card and the poppy Clarity Stamps.

I started by stamping and heat embossing the poppy stamps, after this I masked off the poppies and sprayed water onto the card which was uncovered.  I then sprinkled Brusho's on to the wet card and let it spread, I then sprayed a little more water on top to help it to mingle together.  I love the effect of Brusho's on Centura Pearl.

I coloured the poppies with Promarkers, quite roughly, and then went over it with a Promarker blender pen.

To finish off I stamped the thank you line stamp and joined it all together with a fine liner pen.

Thank you so much for popping over to my blog today, I appreciate all your comments.

Pink, pink and more Pink Inspiration

This is not my usual style of card but I made it to show several different ways to use OanPastels.
Firstly I covered the inside of an embossing folder with Versmark before embossing the harlequin card. Then I dabbed the PanPastel over the Versamark and then blended all over the piece of card.
I then heat embossed the stamped image and painted the flowers using PanPastel.  The flower is made of paper clay - you've guessed it - coloured with PanPastels!!!

Well done to the winner and top 3 of Bold and Bright - thank you so much for all the lovely entries.

Pink, pink and more pink - PanPastel Challenge

Morning everyone and welcome to my new followers, hope you enjoy following my crafty journey.

A new a Challenge today on the PanPastel blog and if you like Pink you'll love this!

I decided that there was no reason why xmas cards can't be pink, so decided to go with that theme.  Very clean and simple.  I used the stamp Lovely As a Tree for the main image.  I then added a "flying Santa and pink Stickles, very good card for batch making a xmas time.

It would be fabulous if you could pop over HERE to the Challenge page to take a look at the fabulous pieces created by the other lovely ladies in the Design Team.

Thanks for popping in xx

Panpastel Challenge -Bold and Bright

I got this stamp set for this challenge inspiration and it's rapidly become one of my favourite sets.

I used a selection of Panpastel colours and masked off either side the Versamark stamped image until I'd covered each individual area with it's own particular colour.  The splats I stamped with archival ink.

It's a very quick and simple card but I'm loving it.

Pop over to the Challenge to see the fabulous inspiration from my Deasign Team mates and why not join in, you could win a lovely prize, and it doesn't have to be complicated as you can see from my piece.

Sweet Lilac Flowers - Bling it Up

I'm very pleased to announce that I have been invited to join the new Design Tean for Sweet Lilac Flowers who not only have an amazing selection of paper flowers but also stock beautiful lace and pretty pearly embellishments too.

This months Challenge is "Bling it Up" and therefore I decided to use a piece I created a while ago (I've been saving it for something special) and cut it up to make a pop up box card.  Unfortunately the pic doesn't show all the lovely texture and glitter.

I proceeded to cut it up and layer it onto blue mirror card for a bit more bling.

With some of the Sweet Likac Flowers I tend to treat them a bit like flowers I've die cut in so much as I ink them, cut into them, wet and squish them etc. Below is a before and after photo.

Hope you don't mind so many pictures!  Here's the final piece to which I've also added a little butterfly

Why not join in our Challrnge this month by clicking HERE (you can also take a look at the lovely projects by my my two new teamies).  After all who doesn't like to Bling it Up!

Bold and Bright - PanPastel Challenge

A new Challenge today for the PanPastel fans amongst you!

This is my little bit of inspiration for this week.  The flowers have been sprayed with Crafters Companion Spray and Sparkle which not only blings the up, it also acts as a fixative for the PanPastels.  Spray and a Shine works in the same way too.

After adding paper string, a few pearls and a little tag on the side the project is finished.

You can enter the Challenge and have a look at the superb projects by my teamies HERE.

Glitter Tag

This tag was amazing fun to make.  For the background I took a black tag and brushed on Diamond sparkle medium - I was surprised when it came out blue toned!

When the tag was dry I embossed it with a Tim Holtz Texture Fade.

The flowers were cut out with Sizzix dies and covered with PanPastels and Stickles.  For the centre of the flowers I used Black Distress Glitter.

The butterfly I made a while ago using the Caught in Crystal technique.

Chit chats to finish.

Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge - Bingo Board

From the Bingo Board I chose the two lines - Pearls, swirl, flowers and stitching, lavender and lace.
On the flower and swirls I also used clear Wink of Steallar to give them a lovely sheen.

Brusho's and Goosebumps!!

This page was done just for fun!!!!  Not something I've done for ages.  I thought it would be really exciting to spray the watercolour paper with Goosebumps before adding the Brusho's crystals.

I found it really relaxing.

PanPastel Summer Inspiration

I've made this small card as a thank you card to be sent to good friends for a wonderful evening spent at their house.

I've used Orange, Hansa Yellow and Permanent Red for the sunset background.  I stamped with Distress Ink and then, using a Versamark Pen, covered the bottle and glass and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I did this twice.

Well done to the winner and Top three of the Inspired by Tim Challenge.

Pop over to the Panpastel Challenge page to have a peep at the wonderful inspiration from my Design Team mates.

Thanks for looking xx
